BFN4 System Update: Introducing BFN4(Update C)

We are excited to announce an update to our BFN4 systems, designed to deliver improved functionality and respond to market demand. Our existing BFN4 systems have served customers with proven reliability. Now, with the release of BFN4(Update C), we have introduced several small but meaningful changes to better support your evolving requirements.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what’s new:

Network Controller Enhancements
BFN4: Equipped with 4× Intel I211AT network controllers
BFN4(Update C): Upgraded to 4× Intel I210AT controllers
This change introduces advanced features, including SR-IOV and enhanced offloading support, to improve virtualization and support industrial workloads.

TPM Security Support
BFN4: No TPM support
BFN4 (Update C): Adds a TPM header, providing customers with the option to deploy trusted platform modules for enhanced security and compliance.

USB Interface Configuration
BFN4: USB 2.0 + USB 3.0 ports
BFN4(Update C): USB 2.0 only, simplifying certain industrial use cases where USB 3.0 is not required.

HDD LED Indicators
BFN4: Front HDD LED supported
BFN4(Update C): No HDD LED indicator, reflecting a cleaner and more cost-optimized design for headless deployments.

All Shipments from 1st July, 2025, are shipping with BFN4 Update C.
