I recently purchased a BFN4K and am delighted with its performance. However, I am interested in learning more about the lifecycle of this product. I am moving from PCEngines systems.

The supply period of BFN Series boards mainly depends on the supply period of the CPU. We will not stop selling these boards if Intel does not stop production. Furthermore, after Intel issues a production suspension notice, Intel usually gives their customers a bugger period of 1 to 3 years. If our customer needs it, we can store some inventory for him.
Intel promised a supply period for E3845 until 2029. With the buffer period, we can provide boards until 2030 if customers have demand.
Interestingly, the NASA Mars rover mission also uses an E3845 processor for engineering cameras.
